Alas, there is Spring on Spring Street.

A long time coming, it is quite Spring. We make nightly trips to steal daffodils from Bank gardens and all the cherry blossoms are in bloom.

I just dropped Insley off for a field trip to New York while I try to work up the energy to go to the first Farmers Market of the year.

I doesn't even do it justice to begin to describe how busy I am. I've taken on four or five personal art projects down stairs, only two of which are finished. The walls are painted, but I will not give you pictures. Those of you abroad are the only people who will walk in and see it whole and entire, and not watch the process. Even though doing everything by hand is cool, it's also time consuming and hard.

In time for the combined birthday party, little things around the apartment finally were finished (in all that spare time I had)- curtains, pictures on the walls, and other details. Insley walked in (after my all-nighter to do these things) and stated "It finally looks like somebody lives here."

I received a large television for my birthday, finally solving the problem of Insley and my blindness and inability to see the TV from across the room. And just yesterday I ventured into my closet to discover that we do, in fact, have cable. In fact we have digital cable. For free. To some degree this seems to have ruined the apartment, and we have discussed unhooking it.

Of this bundle of joy, we have claimed the bottom two - the gray and the tortoise shell calico - two little baby girls who just opened their eyes two days ago. I will be visiting them Easter weekend and we will be able to take them right about as summer starts. :)

Winter just farted on us...

Earlier this week it was mid sixties, and today we're getting more snow than I have ever seen here. Somehow this storm is focused on the Eastern shore, hardly anything is falling across the bay. We already have about five inches on the ground, and we're supposed to get up to ten. Which for the Eastern shore is practically ten feet.

I'm going to build a snowman in the middle of Cross St.

I'm insane...

Okay, so it is official. Vicky has left the building. The Crossfire is closed... and Allison and I didn't even steal the plate we wanted... but we do have the pen. And actually now we do have the couch. I hope us stealing the pen a year ago didn't cause them to go under...

So, that bakery/tea house/treatshop we talked about starting maybe someday in a few years is suddenly a reality. Now.

And I think I might be insane to think I can do this.

feet

Home from the ball, and I didn't take my shoes off the whole time.
I have the bleeding sores to prove it.

I was hot though.

Fire

Today I set the kitchen on fire with oil.

The fire alarms work though!

Sundays

Laundry Day. Colophon Day. Insley works at the bookstore day.

Missing Thursday for court and Friday for the funeral has made me feel really far behind. And working Saferide Friday night and Saturday night, plus throwing Blackhearts on Saturday has made me feel like I have no time to catch up.

I had all this motivation and I lost it all.

justice?

Basically we lost. The judge ruled that I owe half of the rent for Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb. He told him he would have to re-file after I don't pay rent for future months, that he can't rule for rent I might not pay in the future.

We plan to appeal, we've already chosen a lawyer.

In other news, Sophie's father passed away. I'm going to the funeral tomorrow to be with her.

The wind has done nothing but howl through the windows as it grows steadily colder. It is supposed to snow on Saturday.
